RANIPUR ZONE
The Ranipur Zone offers a journey into the heart of the original Rajaji Wildlife Sanctuary from British times, a site of both historical significance and natural beauty. The track extends over 24 km in a straight path, and the safari lasts approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. This zone is the gateway to Beribara FRH, a VVIP shikar area of that era. The habitat features a diverse mix of Ber, Cheer pine, teak, Rohini trees, and scrub forest interspersed with Lantana bushes. Flanked by fertile Terai farmlands to the south, this zone provides an authentic wildlife experience with excellent chances for spotting leopards, for which it is particularly renowned. The dense forest and unique topography offer glimpses into an ancient wilderness, making this area a treasure trove for wildlife enthusiasts.
